What type of organization is MindUniversity?
MindUniversity is a privately held “S” corporation.

What is an Internet Organizer Toolkit?

The Internet Organizer Toolkit is a handbook that is completed by teachers either independently or in a live workshop setting. The Kit provides everything a teacher needs to master digital fluency skills and participate in professional learning communities.

What is Building Bridges?
Building Bridges is an initiative designed to help K-12 instructional leaders mentor classroom teachers and raise information and communication technology (ICT) literacy among students and teachers.

Who can use MindUniversity products and services?
MindUniversity products and services are designed primarily for K-12 educators, students and parents but may be adapted for mentoring projects arranged with professionals from other industries.

Where is MindUniversity geographically based?
MindUniversity is based in Illinois and maintains three home-based offices in Chicago, Naperville and Springfield.

Can my students use MindUniversity?
Yes. Included with each teacher’s account is unlimited use of the Internet Organizer by as many students as the teacher would like. Students may visit the Internet Organizer account of their teacher at no cost by logging in a visitor and typing in their teacher’s member ID.

Can parents of my students use MindUniversity?
Yes. Included with each teacher’s account is unlimited use of the Internet Organizer by parents of the students. Parents may visit the Internet Organizer account of their child’s teacher at no cost by logging in as a visitor and typing in the teacher’s member ID.

How long can I use my new Internet Organizer account?
Your Internet Organizer will be accessible as long as your membership is active.  Memberships are renewable annually or may be active for longer terms in some cases.

Is MindUniversity going to introduce other courses?
Yes. MindUniversity works with Web Coaches in its Building Bridges K-12 initiative to identify what kinds of courses are desired by teachers and creates them in collaboration with either these coaches or the teachers themselves.

Who teaches MindUniversity courses?
MindUniversity courses are taught by teachers holding master’s degrees and with experience in using the Internet Organizer.

What are MindUniversity courses like?
Our courses are self-paced handbooks download from the Internet and formatted as independent studies designed to be taken during the teaching year or summer. Teachers can start courses whenever they like and complete work from any Internet-connected computer at whatever pace they desire.
